Sportlicher Start ins Sommersemester gefällig? Am Freitag, den 5. Mai findet wieder unsere kostenlose Be Part Of It Fahrradtour statt. Diesmal als Teil des Be Part Of It Challenge Monats! (Falls du den Challenge Monat noch nicht kennst, kannst du ihn dir hier gerne anschauen, aber natürlich ist auch seperate Teilnahme einfach nur an der Fahrradtour möglich.)
Wir treffen uns um 15 Uhr am S-Bahnhof Ostkreuz um dann zusammen nach Grünheide zu radeln.
Der genaue Treffpunkt ist der Annemirl-Bauer-Platz beim Ostkreuz, neben dem Basketballfeld/Spielplatz. Um einen pünktlichen Start zu ermöglichen, bitten wir dich 15 Minuten vor Beginn zu erscheinen.
Die Tour wird etwa 30 km lang, dauert maximal 3 bis 4 Stunden und führt entlang der Spree und am großen Müggelsee vorbei über Köpenick nach Grünheide, wo die sie schließlich endet. Von Grünheide aus kannst du gerne selbstständig mit dem Fahrrad zurück nach Berlin fahren oder, wenn du im ein C-Tickets mit Fahrradmitnahme-Option für den öffentlichen Nahverkehr in Berlin hast (Semester- oder 49-Euro-Ticket z. B.), dann kannst du mit dem RE1 oder ab Erkner mit S3 zurück in die Stadt fahren.
Die Teilnahme ist nur Studierende der TUB offen und du benötigst dafür ein straßenverkehrstaugliches Fahrrad (möglichst kein Rennrad oder Rad mit sehr dünnen Reifen, Teile der Strecke sind nicht perfekt asphalitiert), einen Fahrradhelm, Wasser und nach selbstständiger Einschätzung Proviant für die Pausen zwischendurch und je nach Wetter UV-Schutz oder entsprechend angepasste Kleidung. (Bei sehr schlechtem Wetter kann es ein, dass die Tour leider spontan abgesagt werden muss.)
Looking for a sporty start to the summer semester? On Friday 5 May, our free Be Part Of It bike tour will take place again. Now as a part of the Be Part Of It Challenge Month! (If you don't know about the Challenge Month yet, you can check it out here, but of course it's also possible to take part in the bike ride separately).
We will meet at 3 pm at the Ostkreuz S-Bahn station to cycle to Grünheide together.
The exact meeting point is the Annemirl-Bauer-Platz at Ostkreuz, right next to the basketball court/playground. To ensure a punctual start, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early.
The route is about 30 km in length, takes a maximum of 3 to 4 hours to complete and runs along the Spree and past the large Müggelsee via Köpenick to Grünheide, where it will end. From Grünheide you are welcome to cycle back to Berlin on your own or, if you have a C-ticket with the option of taking your bike with you on public transport in Berlin (e.g. Semester or 49-Euro ticket), you can take the RE1 or the S3 from Erkner back to the city.
Participation is only open to TUB students and you will need a bicycle suitable for road traffic (preferably not a racing bike or a bike with very thin tyres, parts of the route are not perfectly asphalted), a bicycle helmet, water and, according to your own assessment, provisions for the breaks and, depending on the weather, UV protection or appropriately adapted clothing. (In case of very bad weather, the tour may have to be cancelled spontaneously).
