After-Work-Cup 2023
Am 28. März 2023 fand nach 3-jähriger Pause der 7. After-Work-Cup der TU BERLIN im Sportzentrum Dovestraße statt. Bei diesem außergewöhnlichen Wettstreit treten Teams verschiedener TU-Institutionen in 10 kleinen Spielen gegeneinander an. Dabei geht es nicht nur um Schnelligkeit und Kraft, sondern vielmehr um Geschicklichkeit, Teamgeist und Kreativität.
Voller Tatendrang und hochmotiviert gingen 18 Teams an den Start. Bibliotheksmitarbeiter*innen mit Katzenohren, Chemiker*innen im Laborkittel oder Lebensmittelwissenschaftler*innen getarnt als starke fette Zuckerschnecken, das Teilnehmer*innenfeld lies an Ideengeist und Humor nichts zu wünschen übrig. Gefragt waren
- Ingenieursgeschick beim Bau des höchsten Klopapierrollenturms,
- geografisches Wissen beim Zuordnen der Hauptstädte Afrikas,
- Ballgefühl beim Flennis,
- sowie Treffsicherheit und Kraft beim Nageln.
Am Ende hieß das Siegerteam Lokomotive Untergeschoß, welches durch Teamgeist, Vielseitigkeit und besonders kreatives Anfeuern überzeugte. Den gemeinsamen Platz 2 belegten Team die SecTe und das Team VIP Team IVP. Platz 3 ging an das Team Stiftung Wadentest. Die Gesamtplatzierung findet ihr auf der Seite des After-Work-Cups.
Ein Jahr lang hat das Team Lokomotive Untergeschoß die Ehre, den heißumkämpften Wanderpokal zu beheimaten. Aber seid bereit, in einem Jahr haben die anderen Teams wieder die Chance auf eine Revanche und den Wanderpokal.

Cheers and Euphoria at the 7th After-Work Cup
On March 28th 2023, after a 3-year break, the 7th TU BERLIN After-Work Cup took place at the Dovestraße Sports Center. In this extraordinary competition, teams from different institutions compete against each other in 10 small games. Not only speed and strength are essential, but rather finesse, team spirit and creativity are significant for the win.
Full of energy and highly motivated, 18 teams took part. Library staff with cat ears, chemists in lab coats or food scientists disguised as big fat sugar snails, the participants left nothing to be desired in terms of inventiveness and humor. It required
- engineering skills in building the tallest toilet paper roll tower,
- geographic knowledge in assigning capitals,
- ball handling skills in Flennis,
- or craftsmanship and strength in nailing.
In the end, the winning team was Lokomotive Untergeschoß, which impressed with its team spirit, versatility and particularly creative cheering. The joint 2nd place went to Team die SecTe and Team VIP Team IVP. The 3rd place went to the team Stiftung Wadentest. You can find the complete ranking on the page of the After-Work-Cup.
For one year, team Lokomotive Untergeschoß has the honor to be the lawful owner of the highly contested traveling trophy. But be aware, in one year the other teams will have the chance for a revange to bring home the cup.
